Kobe.

Not this Kobe...(is he even gonna make the basket???)

And not this Kobe...(click on pic to see how Kobe really feels...feel free to caption)

But this Kobe...Kobe Japanese Steak and Seafood House. The culinary artist prepares some buttered up shrimp.

Ring of Fire: The artist piles up some onion rings...throws some fuel in the ring...lights it up. Check out the white flame (tip: click on pic to get a larger and clearer view).

Don't play with fire: Point noted. The artist breaks the pyramid of onions in which unleashes a fireball of artistic pyrotechniqe display. Kids, do not try this at home.

Terriyaki Chicken mixed with veggies.

Kobe Steak getting sliced up while the Terriyaki Chicken watches on the sidelines.

More Kobe!!! Steak that is.

I've heard some good things about this place. The quality of the food and how it's been in Vancouver for a long time.

I found the ambiance really odd. When you first get there, they direct you to their lounge type of area where you can order drinks first while waiting for your table which is somewhat limited upstairs.

When you go up, you'll notice bright colors of firey display. You'll hear lots of cheers and crowd participation. The highlight of the night will go to the artist that serves your table. I'm not going to go too much into the menu choices, but basically there's the beef steak or terriyaki chicken along with seafood. You can also get a mix off all three. The food was alright. I was not totally blown away. For what you're paying, it could have been better. The service was good from what I recall.

For some reason, I don't think I see myself returning here again unfortunately. Don't be mistaken, it's by no means a bad restaurant, it's just not my cup of tea.

Did you say steak?
