love the poutine there - add a little bit of their "california" seasoning and you're set!

Surprisingly, the poutine at NY Fries is actually pretty good. Even compared to actual restaurants! Mmm... poutine...

I've never tried the "california" seasoning silver_aria....I'll have to give it a shot some time. Thanks for the recommendation.

Agreed Sherman!

Where would you say is your favorite place to enjoy a poutine?

That's a good question... Honestly, I actually think the NY Fries one is probably one of my favs. But for a restaurant, I recently tried the one at Abigail's Party and it was good and a bit different. They used a chicken gravy instead. There are some funky poutines like the one at Chambar, which uses balsamic. But honestly, my personal preference is just the simple basic poutine with crispy fries, real cheese curds and hot (non salty) gravy.

Good to know Sherman. Have you tried the one at Crave? It's soooo good!

short rib poutine:
parmesan truffle fries, short rib jus

Actually I haven't tried the one at Crave. "Me Hungry" from NYC did a poutine showdown here in GVRD and that was one of them. I need to try it, sounds good!
